Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2024: Recognizing teachers who are changing Ukraine

Communication campaign, PR support, Media relations, Influencer marketing

The challenge

In 2024, the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine faced a significant challenge: how to engage teachers working under war conditions — often in shelters without electricity and sometimes lacking stable internet access. Many are internally displaced or teach children in frontline areas. Despite these hardships, these educators demonstrate remarkable strength and dedication daily, shaping Ukraine’s future generation.

Our task was not only to reach these teachers but also to inspire them to share their stories and show the entire country that today’s teacher is a true hero.

The solution

We implemented a comprehensive communication campaign to promote the award and encourage participation. We involved popular TV hosts from 1+1, artists, bloggers, and media personalities who called on people to nominate teachers via videos and social posts. We produced in-depth thematic longreads on education during wartime and personal stories of nominees — why they stay, teach, and inspire. Strong partnerships were established with the Ministry of Education and Science and other organizations supporting the award across multiple categories.

The campaign spanned national media outlets and social networks, ensuring wide visibility and active engagement.
