The "Black Forest" Brigade Got New Identity, Website, and Partnership with Mr.SCRUBBER

The Havas Red team developed a comprehensive brand identity for the 15th Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade, ‘Black Forest’, one of the most technologically advanced units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We created a new visual identity, mission, vision, website, and supported the launch of a charitable care product line in partnership with the Ukrainian natural cosmetics brand Mr.SCRUBBER.

Army as a brand
Today, the army needs not only technical modernization but also a transformation in communication. Black Forest represents cutting-edge technology — from Shark drones and electronic warfare countermeasures to precision arthroscopic reconnaissance. Yet, above all, it’s about people who want to be recognized, open to partnerships, and understood by society.

We helped convey these values through:

- a new identity inspired by the pixel concept — symbolizing precision, modernity, and digital innovation

- updated mission, vision, positioning, and slogans

- a website designed as a tool for recruitment, stakeholder engagement, and communication

- a recruitment campaign featuring outdoor advertising across Ukrainian cities

Partnership with Mr.SCRUBBER
A key part of the project was collaborating with Mr.SCRUBBER, a Ukrainian natural cosmetics brand. Together, we launched a charitable line of smart care products developed with the military — and not just for them.

The line includes:

- 2-in-1 shampoo for body and hair,

- aftershave and shaving cologne,

- nourishing body and face cream.

These products are convenient for use even in field conditions. Importantly, 50% of the profits from sales go directly to support the brigade.

The campaign was endorsed by Jamala, Volodymyr Zavadyuk, Rusya Danilkina, Alina Mykhaylova, and over 20 influencers, receiving coverage in MMR, Bazilik, Marketer, and other media outlets.

This provided
- the brigade’s public image as an innovative, open, and technologically advanced unit was firmly established

- recognition of the brigade grew among civilians, donors, and international partners

- a new model of cooperation between the military and business through social products was created

- internal motivation among soldiers to serve in a forward-thinking brigade was strengthened
